'50 Flathead

    There were a few bubbles after a minute or two but I could see it pushing the coolant out first. It was pretty obvious compared to the other side it almost immediately overflowed the thermostat housing while the other side barely moved at all when you revved the motor.

    Torque them.

    Also there is no 8BA on the heads-the L/S has F132 on it - what's that mean?

    Torque the heads and see what happens. If you are lucky they will seal back up. As for the 8BA thing post a Pic if you can. There were other heads too 8CM ,EAB, 8RT ETC... I have a set of stock heads on my 51 that dont have anything cast on them I ***umed for whatever reason the numbers had been ground off.

    I'd buy a new set of head gaskets. Pull the heads, clean everything up, and put it back together.

    listen do the combustion gas test for peace of mind its only about 40$ from napa and its a piece of cake to use.I had the same problem and this was the evidence i needed to pull the heads and do a gasket change,which i did and problem solved.You might want to do a few oil changes as there will be water in the p***ages,thats what i did until there was only oil when i drained it.
