Truck just delivered this 50 Merc from California today. Stock 50 Merc with flattie and 3 speed manual trans. Needs some TLC, but a driver!

What do you plan to do with it.?
Just Drive it till you Decide what
you know that the Skirts on the Car are 51
thats why they have the lip
    49 & 50 are Flat

    just my 3.5 cents

  3. Excellent score man! One day I hope to have one ...

  4. CQQL score! How many does that make in the stable now?:D

Oh Wow!!! Good for You!!! That is totally COOL!!! With the way it sits in the 3rd photo what with the stance, all the bonafide, time-induced patina, all the beautiful brightwork still in place etc., I´d actually have a hard time doing a thing to it, except driving it!
What are Your plans with it?

Plan to make sure it is safe for the road and drive it for awhile. No chop for this Merc. Probably keep it a patina stocker for now. I have a set of steel 50 Merc skirts, which will replace the 51 skirts.

This Merc makes 3 in the stable. A chopped 51, stock 50 and this Cali, stock 50. Really was looking for a 49 Merc.

Man i like that car exactly like it is! I'd drive the wheels bearings right out of it :D
I even like it better without the skirts..how strange. haha
    Very cool, congrats.

I dig it! Don't have to worry about scratching it, washing it, or door dings in a parking lot! The only problem is you have to almost leave it as is body wise, be a shame to kill that patina!

Yeah, got to look under the rear. Seller removed a bunch of leafs...can't drive it that way.

What do you think? De-arched rear springs to get it in the "weeds" the right way?
