I really hope you can find a way to have a Happy Birthday and a very Merry Christmas. I really wish I could come out and give you a hand getting her back on the road, but I think I would do more harm than good. Wiring isn't one of my strengths if you know what I mean. Either way, I wish you nothing but the best and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

thankee kindly Buddy done a couple of rescues w my "undercover" Lumina in the past coupla months, but, it's dashcam is fomatted different and more difficult to upload to computer, hence my reluctance to try to DO so



So *here* is onea my FAVS from years past -- these folks came "over the pond" from Germany to follow me around one day -- I really LIKE the lightning strike "Ghostbusters" special effects they put on @ the beginning -- & watch for the "photobomb" in the background in the dogpark sequence

so I got a call, back a few years, from a man who represented himself as an ***ociate of the "Supreme Master" and they'd liketa do a video of a day in my life - -from wakin , doin my mornin abolutions, gittin ready to roll, and goin out to "play on the freeway" w my "shotgun girl" Shela - if I'd agree -- i said I'd haveta think about it and let him know --

I was thinkin "who calls themselves the "Supreme Master"? could it be like a secret brotherhood? Masons Grand Poohbah?" lotta weird thoughts --

Looked up the Supreme Master and was ASTONISHED to find myrad results! It's a "she" and she has a WORLDwide organization that does amazing things in amazing ways

Well I called em back, & agreed to lettum film me doin what I do best, but, NO "mornin abolutions" that's my private life -- liketa keep it so --

So, anyways -- have a crew arrive @ the appointed day & time & this is the result!

that was a year I'd been doin a LOT of sittin on my front porch -- WISHin I could be out "PLAYIN" but gas prices had skyrocketed and I just didn't have the moolah to BE out there --

Then, they, SHE, came along -- kept me "OUT there" - "Playin on the Freeway"
for nearly a year

Workin on the Merc -- it's been dead for several months [ blown head gskt ] w my damaged shoulder, I've been unable to lift - repair it -- son came over to lift off the intake manifold for me -- haveta wait for his ***istance to lift out the cyl head -- then the cleanup & re***embly fun begins

Last months of 2015 were difficult w Beulah's wiring job being NOT ok! She's not driveable too many "issues" to count -- going to haveto be TOTALLY REdone to be usefull Shela's losin ground healthwise -- "She" is goin on 16 now -- the Merc being out of action, and my shoulder givin me hob --

So here's TO gittin up anuther day *able* to see the sun chirpin and hear the birds shinin -- I'd liketa be able to complete my 50th year of "Playin on the Freeway" in a finished and completely operable Beulah as well -- We'll see --

The "On the Road" videos have come to an end w the Merc's engine damaged and Beulah untrustworthy electrically -- WORKin on gittin the Merc up & runnin -- the wide front seat is more comfortable for Shela --

 

figured out how to git the cyl head off -- been SO long since I've used this I forgot I had it [ engine hoist built INto my garage roof beams ] --

runnin outta steam early these days --

don't know what's wrong

got an appt for a check up this Thursday -- we'll see?

in the meantime --

workin on gittin the Merc back operatin agin --

 

usta be able to DO this kinda thing all day long -- now, it takes me days to git it done --

got the exhaust manifold on -- tomorrow, if I'm lucky, I'll get er raised UP so's I kin hook up the exhaust pipe and change the oil [ probably has some water in it from the head being off ]

 

Doing this kind of work by yourself takes a bit of determination and ingenuity.

Glad to see you've got some of both!

 

got the exhaust pipe connected -- drained the water contaminated oil -- leavin the drain plug out overnite -- gittin up off the floor has become a struggle w my busted shoulder -- not so much fun anymore

tomorrow's anuther day --

used my hoist to set the intake just PERfect -- I shoulda used it YEARS ago instead of leanin over the fenders or front end w them heavy things

necessity is the mother of invention

thankee kindly Roadster, for yer good wishes but it ain't gonna heal -- permantly ruined just haveta live w it -- let others do the heavy liftin --
