Hey gang, It's been a while, but I remember a radio station that had their shows archived online that played a lot of surf and rockabilly on Sunday mornings. Very animated host with lots of reverb in the commentary. Sci-Fi sound effects in background....a fun show. I cannot for the life of me remember the station of the name of the particular show. Pretty sure it aired on Sundays, but may have been Saturday mornings. Great background for the garage and my classroom/lab at school.
The show you are talking about sounds awesome. I miss those old radio stations and music. I do like Little Steven's Underground Garage though. He plays a lot of '60's Rock and garage music. All his shows are on his website. I hope someone comes up with something for this.
Point your favorite search browser to "OTR stream" and you'll find several sites that do nothing but play old time radio programs from the 30s through 60s, the "golden age". Specific shows like that might be tough, but ya never know. Another fun thing to do along with that, is pipe the OTR programs like that through a transmitter and broadcast it out to the shop or garage. FCC part 15 has regs that sez you can, and there are tiny flea powered retro looking tube type transmitters available as well as and modern kits. Then find an unused spot on the AM dial and broadcast OTR or your favorite tunes around your property, through to your Hot rod or old Philco. Maybe a few hundred feet range or so. Sound quality is excellent. An old iPod or whatever can hold thousands and thousands of songs too, and be deployed on permanent DJ duties this way.
