And yes, I'm a old guy to, but I'm calling out to my other HAMB brother's and painters to see if anyone would have a clue as to the shade of Red on the Coupe. This is the only picture of the car that I have found on color of it in 5 years. Fact is, I've searched and searched trying to find information on the car and so far came up with nothing.
My best estimate is the car was raced starting in the later 50's. At first I thought the Red was a '56-ish Buick color, but this is more of a Real Red to me. I pretty sure the paint color would be from the '50's time frame.
Let me know what your thoughts are.

I'm not sure on the shade of red but I do really like that coupe. I've only seen a couple pictures of it and that's the only color one I've come across as well.

I was looking at mid-50 Ford colors and thought this looked really close.

Just remember, any color you see in a actual photo print will fade even when stored in the dark.
And way back when, certain films captured colors differently, I remember being told to use 'this film' for blue cars and 'this film' for red cars.
But as mentioned, don't over think and just look for colors that were available back in the fifties, a lot less then now.
And we can get into, primers under colors, reducers and such, this was a race car, the frame was white, the red would have been a simple choice, or it might have been the color of someone's girl friends *******,,,,,,,
