I mistakenly bought the wrong door for my coe and wondering if someone can help provide the correct info for me. I need a door for a 1955 Ford COE and I am wondering what other years and models will fit. This is the door that has the little 1/4 glass in the door ahead of the main door window. It is for a cab without a wrap around windshield. Will the door for an F100 or other cab fit? Also what years were the same? Edited for year correction, it is a 1955 not a 1950. Thanks, Mike in Calgary
Mine is a 55. I made a typo in the first and I'll fix it now. Does that mean 53-55 will all fit? If so, does that include reg cab F100 and any other pickup models?
3/4 of the door from a F-100 all the way up should fit, the doors and cabs are the same for all models, but you're going have to do some major modifications to the lower front corner to make it fit. If you have a COE door from a '53, '54 or '56, I think, but not sure, the bottoms might all be the same and you might be able to graft the top of the correct year door of a conventional cab truck to the bottom of the COE door you have. You should drop in at the FTE, http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum41/, there's quite a few guys over there with COEs who can give you the definitive answer.
