Hi, are there any 50's pontiac gurus in the room? I recently bought a box lot of old auto parts at a yard sale. There are 2 pieces of what I believe are somewhere in 50-s pontiac exterior chrome. The first is p/n# 5840745, a chrome pot metal emblem plate 23inches long, and has PONTIAC written in script across the center. It has 4 mounting studs, and looks like it would mount across the front or back of the car. Any ideas what it came off of? The second is also an exterior chrome piece, p/n # 516774. It is 23 inches long, and looks like the nose piece from an old airplane. It has a clear plastic lens mounted inside the top section, with the letters PONTIAC in the clear lens area. The nose piece of this is round, with a Y type divider. I do have pix of these, but am new to the site and have not researched posting pictures yet. This piece also looks as though it mounted in the front or back of the car, possibly around the liscense tag? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chuck
