Came back looking for this one for inspiration again. Doubt I will EVER have the resources to chop my car, but had to come back anyways (unless there is a miarcle way of getting my car to your garage in TX ;) ) Any progress?

So just out of curiosity...what would a 2"/4" chop cost on a '54 four door anyway?

Made some great progress this past weekend thanks to Racrdad and JMD82 spending the weekend. I would say we knocked out about 80-85% of the bodywork! It was great to hang out with them again and put away a few cold beers. Jason kept us laughing all weekend, as usual. Thanks again guys for all your hard work!

We worked a little Friday night and then Doug tried to out drink us. But after breakfast and a few Tylenol we were back at it Sat morning.

We worked into the night and Doug taught my son Kylar how to do bodywork. He is actually pretty good, going to have to put that boy to work!

You know these boys like to eat!

Someone (me) forgot to make sure he had primer so we called it a night and Jason sprayed the work areas Sunday morning after I got back from the supply house.

Sunday evening was rest time. Thanks again to Doug and Jason for all their hard work, couldn't have done it without you guys!

Well a fellow HAMBer hooked me up with the color and I promised I wouldn't give out the name. So let's just say it's almost the factory green with some metallic in it.

maybe you answer this question already, but what do you call those things that are being used instead of hubcaps? They look pretty neat

Hey guys! Been gone from here for a while. A lot has happened with my family recently. We adopted my niece Leah so the family has grown a little. Anyway, very little progress has been made, but life is starting to get back to normal (whatever that is?) and progress is coming this winter. Decided to change the wheels from black to the color of the car as Racrdad posted earlier. Removed the wheel clips and welded them up. Then Jason sprayed them for me. ratrodpiper, see pics for your answer...

Looking killer! Is the body color going to be a compliment, or the same color? Reminds me of what my car MAY have looked like when new, color-wise!
