Has anyone used coil-over spings and shocks on the stock front suspension on a 51 (or similar) Chevy? If so, what brand was used? I was thinking it might be a good way to get the ride height just right but I've never seen it it done.
It means with only two dozen people looking at it at all, it fell to the back pages before someone who had done it, as your question asked, had seen the thread, and since it's late Sunday night now , it's probably going to be on page four by the time the Monday crowd gets on line again. So again it'll get missed. By the way, I haven't done the requested coil over conversion either, but as long as you reinforce the A arm and frame mounts enough to support the weight of the car on what's supposed to only be a non-load carrying shock mount, it'd probably work. But Why? You alread have some coil overs and a variety of springs to experiment with? The dumb-ass Question is the unasked Question.
