51 Chevy skirts?

I have a 51 Chevy coupe (the coupe not a 2 door sedan) and my Brother-in-law found me a set of fender skirts off a '52 Chevy wagon. They don't fit. The quarters in my car have a fair bit of Bondo in them around the wheel opening so I'm not sure if the skirts don't fit my car or my car does't fit the skirts. Does any one know if these should fit?

 

The '51-52 wagons have the same wheel-well opening as the '49-50 cars, so that's why the skirts don't fit your '51.

YEP 49-50 skirts not same as 51-52.
Didn't know about the wagon exception.

 

Thanks for the Info Rusk. I can get the skirts fairly cheap, so I think i'll keep them. I might make the them fit when I re-do the body work since I'm going too have to make new edges for the quarters anyway.
