Hello everyone, I am new to this forum as well as the pre 70's lifestyle. I got this 51 Chevy Fleetline deluxe recently and am begging a restoration. Short term goals are body off, get the frame cleaned up and see what I'm really dealing with. I'm going to put new rear axle in so i can have an open drive line (probably going with 2nd gen camaro). And powder coating the frame. Long term is more exciting. im gonna stuff a 496 stroker in the engine bay (supercharger) with a 4l80e behind it. I would like to run 3.83 gears in the back. Tub the rear and lower 1-1.75 inches. throw some skirts and a visor up front. Restore interior. For color Im thinking satin black base with burnt orange accents. POSSIBLY doing a copper job for the bumpers/trim. Anyways I have alot of work to do. thanks for reading. Also any ideas or suggestions im happy to here!

What I quoted doesn't really sit with the pre 1965 way of doing things, that's why I posted the link to what this place is about as a heads up to help you.
