Can some one tell this old man how to remove the steering wheel on my 51 Merc.

Yes, I removed the cap and the nut, now what?

    Thanks.

Your probably going to have to buy or rent a steering wheel puller. HRP

I made one using a short piece of thick flatbar. I drilled and tapped two 5/16" holes that matched two threaded holes in the steering wheel.
As I tightened these bolts the wheel came off.
The flatbar has to sit right down on the column.
There must be some pictures of this somewhere on the webs.
