That's true. But they sit too high up on the fender.

Matt said he is going to do a tech thread on this.He made a mold and used a plastic resin to form the lenses. The car had bumper guard tailights originally when the car was built in 56.Then the second owner put these Rivi taillights on in the 60's.Yuk!I want do my car the way it was back in the 50's.

Yes, dropping the stockers lower down will make them look much better. Give it a shot with a red paper template as a test.

Owner #2 demonstrates how beauty is ONLY in the eye of the beholder.

Just stock tailights that I frenched and tunneled. I did line the inside of the tunnel with some chrome to match the inner rings on the headlights.

Bob I never said I liked them but since Barris did that set I thought some of you might like them.

Wasn't trying to start anything, just stating my opinion....BTW-I wouldn't use Barris as an example for anything! At least, nothing since 1965,hahaha!

Jesse's merc. Did he lower these tail lights? Sorry about the thumb size pic on pic #2; I know you wanted to blow that one up :)

Some late model tailights are kool. I can't remember what late 60's early 70's tailight this
is but Gary Howard pull it off. It blew my mind when Steve told me that the tailight is also
inverted. I never looked on the backside of tailights for ideas.... Very kool!

    Happy Trails, Mick
