51 plymouth heater hose routing?

can anyone get me a pic of how the heater hoses are routed? I looked through google images but it looks like most of them are running from the water pump, directly to the heater core then dumping back into the engine.
Im thinking it should go from the pump, to one side of the control valve (does it matter which side?), then to one end of the heater core (again, does it matter which end?) , then dump back to the engine.

Any help?
