My buddy Sammy just picked up this 51 Pontiac. Traded his 65 Fairlane for it. I think he came out ahead on the deal. Original all around, even the straight 8. He's lurking here, someday he'll post an intro.
Wow, that is freegin' awesome! All it needs is twin carbs and a split manifold, I wouldn't change a thing. I love the naked steelies with the whitewalls. I always wanted to build a Model A roadster with a Pontiac flathead 8 in a stretched frame.

i came really close to picking up that car......i was gonna trade that guy too....previous owner lives near concord,right? nice score..it's begging to get chopped!!!!
I would keep that 8 right where it sits,so what if it's not a V8 it's still an 8, better then 4 or 6! Kick ass trade!
Nice deal, We need more Poncho owners on here.... I'd keep the straight 8 and lower the front. Some short pipes out from under the front guard and drive it as is for a while.
Looking good. I like thoes old Ponchos. I ran the straight 8 in mine for a year untill she began to smoke to bad.
