51' Shoe box started after 20 years!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by chopped51, Jun 21, 2011.

  1. Picked this thing up a few months ago. Still not sure what I'm gonna do with it but it was a good deal so I grabbed it. Got my *** in gear and tried to get it running today..............
Story is the PO rebuilt the flatty and put a Hurst floor shifter in about 85 or 86. He died in 91. Been sitting in a barn ever since. The son was cleaning out the the barn and....... well the rest is history.

What did you expect, it's a shoebox Ford with a flatty! :)

    Enjoy!

  5. It took about an hour. By the time I s****ed the crud off the points and found what wires went where.
No plans at all at this point. I refuse to build cars during the summer months. This is the time to enjoy what I've built over the previous winter.
If I do go ahead with a build this fall it will be a custom with the mandatory radical chop.
    Stay tuned.
