Ok guys I'm new here and I hope I post this in the right place but I just picked up a 51 styleline 4 door. The front end is driving me nuts. Soo I picked the car up with flat tires and rat turds. Get her home air the tires up, go over the brakes, clean the carb and fuel tank and toss a battery in. Boom she's running and rolling on her own oil leaking power. Soo not sure if it was like it or not when I bought it couldn't tell with the flat tires but I hit a sewer lid that was not in place and well now my problem starts. So I bent the control arm and tie rod and found a guy who had a whole front cross member so I robbed it of parts and slapped mine back together. And the camber was still horrible on the driver side wheel I'll put a pic up as well. So I realize the whole cross member is bent so I change it out and it got better but the camber is still excessive. I'm lost now. I'm thinking the frames bent and I'm kinda screwed with a bent frame. Anyone has this issue before?
Take it to a front end shop, they do that for a living. You may need to go to a truck shop that services trucks. Call around.
Tried to find a shop that would do it and no luck so far. Nobody will even look at. Claiming it's too old. There machines won't do it blah blah
I did replaced that whole front end with a known good one. I did notice that the drivers front seems to be extended to the bump stop. The p*** after side is sitting lower with about 2 inches to the bump stop. The rear seems to sit about a inch different side to side
