Well, Ive started the process off getting a lost ***le and its not gonna be easy.Seems here in good ole Texas there is a task force that has to see the vehicle and verify it isnt stolen or molested or something.so I had to load up the 3 pieces( frame, cab and front clip are apart) take it to them to look at it. Then take that paperwork to the DMV,along with the truck,so they can issue a new vin and install the new vin plate themselves. So here I go driving all over Dallas with my project in tow. There has to be a better way. OH yeah,I didnt mention I also have to get a Insurance Surety Bond as well. All because the DMV cant find the truck in their system. Funny thing is the investigator found it and said it was last ***led in 1978. The lady at the DMV said my truck was purged from their system.WOW!!!! Really? There has to be an easier way
Talk with your area State Representative about the problems and see if he/she wants to be helpful to a voter or an even larger voter block. Remind him/her that hot rodders actually vote. .
