What's the most that someone has lowered on of these cars, without going air ride?
I've got a '54(balljoint front) Customline, and a bunch of lowering parts(Spindles, springs, control arm spacers) & I'm hoping to put it in the weeds. Anyone else gone this low?

  2. The easiest way to lower the '54 Ford seems to be to use areostar coil springs in the front and lowering blocks in the rear.

Check out the '52-59 social group, there is a lot of information there & the '54 Ford Club of America. HRP

Yeah, I've seen that in the forums. I already own a set of Jamco 2" lowering springs, in addition to the Granada spindles and a set of 1" spacers for the lower control arms.
Plan on Going with a block in the rear, and removal of 1 leaf out of the brand new leaf pack that's already in the car.

  4. I left the original springs in our wagon & used Fatman 2" dropped spindles with Granada disc brakes. HRP

Out in the rainy Florida weather today degreasing these Granada spindles.
Once cleaned up, the balljoint hole will get a reaming & they'll get a fresh coat of paint.

Planning on using Por15 for the chassis. Yay or Nay on using it on suspension parts too???

  6. Por15 is some messy crap, good old fashion Rust-Oleum black enamel will do a excellent job and can be purchased in flat,semi-gloss or gloss. HRP

Lower than 3" drop in the rear and you will need drive shaft to tunnel mods.

Driveshaft tunnel modification is definitely in the future.
