I just read a few more posts by people who own 52-54s. I picked mine up a couple months ago, and would like to see what you guys are working with, and some plans for the future of your car. Ill post some pics when I get home, but for now- lets see what you got! Also, whats the deal with the lack of chopped roofs on these years? Is it just a glass issue? I think these years look great if done right!

I own a '55 Customline, but I saw a bitchin 53 at Lontin's Auto Parts in Lake Elsinore. Sorry, I don't have a pic, but it was flat black with scallops. The hood was off, and he was running a flattie with 4 strombergs.
    Here's a pic of my '55, jfsag.

I've got a 52 Crestline with the roof cut off that I picked up here from RDSTR31 last New Years. Been sitting in the barn and pushed around a bit. Hope to get on to it by spring.

I've got this old ranchwagon. So far I've got a fatman front end under it and the front fenders and hood re-done. These suckers are real rustbuckets!

  7. I have a in the works semi custom 54 . So far all the corners are rounded. The stock front bumper has been changed to a 58 T-bird bumper grill set up. It has a 55 Pontiac rear bumper. 55 Pontiac trim. All shaved , nosed decked, frenched headlightd, frenched 50 Olds tail lights. Cut coils , blocks, For now it's in grey primer until I have the $$ for paint. I am thiking of a light metallic green with a silver top, or all white. Still thinking color combos. I want something that you would have seen on a car in 58 - 60. Any suggestions. BTW I will try to post pics tommorow.

I picked my Canadian-model '54 Customline Fordor up in August and things are slowly getting done. So far, got the interior halfway finished, dual exhaust with Smithys, cut coils and blocks. Picked up some bumpers today.

Heres a couple of pics of mine. Right now Im in the process of removing some of the PO's bondo and smoothing nosing, decking and shaving. Also sanding down the cheap paint that makes it look so "smooth" in the pics. I have my Jamco setup waiting to go in as well (leafs/coils.)

Ive been tightening up the engine, and she runs like a champ! I just need to get my damn overdrive working and she will be good to go until we do the *cough* chop.

    P.S That Gasser is sick!:D

It ain't quite a Ford but I have a '54 Lincoln Capri I'm working on. Lowered, modern Ford EFI motor, and a mexican blanket interior. If I ever stop spending all my $$$$ on the car I'll buy a digital camera and post some picks

I don't have one, but I love these years, especially the coupes. I also think prices will be going up on these over time to keep pace with the diminishing supply of '49-'51's. Good luck with your project.

4HawkRod: Got more pics of that grill? Mine doesn't have anything in it and that'd be a cool start.

Did Jigger do more views than just the side of that vert?

    I heart Dirt's car.

Sorry to say FiddyFour, I have had no time for it. Spending the first part of the year in California doing the show hurt progress on all my projects, but well worth it...I have the Divco in the back garage now, but go in this Monday for another hernia operation, so that will slow me down a little..I need to finish the 52 for it needs to see the DragStrip and street again......Thanks,Littleman

  29. I want to do something different with the T-Bird grill on my 54. I was thinkng bullets or the Cabinet knob route.

  30. From the rear. HELP ME PICK SOME COLORS!!! I am thinking white or a light metalic green with a very heavy metallic and a sliver roof
