52 Buick turn signal/brake light question

i have 52&#8217; Buick and am putting in a Ron Francis wiring harness. <o></o>
The kit is set up to use a newer style GM steering column. <o></o>
I am using the original Buick column though. The turn signal switch has 6 wires coming of (diagram).<o></o>
The Buick used to have 2 light bulbs each side. I am now using a single unit with a 2 filament bulb.<o></o>
I got the old turn signal switch working but can&#8217;t figure out how to hook up the brake lights. When the turn signal is activated and I hit the brakes, the light just stays on and doesn&#8217;t flash like it should.<o></o>

 

From the looks of that wiring diagram you will have to use a seperate bulb for the TS in the rear.

 

is there no way to make it work with the stuff i have?

 

Single bulb systems have the brake light power going through the turn signal switch. Your switch is not made to work that way.
