chop tops on the 49-54 chevys is not for me. I know a lot of people like it...I don't. I WISH I knew what kind of paint it is...the guy who sprayed it is mia...I need to track him down. It is not car paint. It is some industrial equipment paint...heavy duty stuff and the guy said it was a pain to spray.
that's cool. my '51 is painted with exterior trim black paint and i'd like to change it to something like yours.
Lotus, I hope u don't mind - But I was inspired by your grille. I did it to my chebby too, 'cause I bought it w/ already blacked out grille. Your car is kool. Thanx for the inspiration & I hope you don't mind me copying your idea.
GREAT JOB WELL DONE! Next to the 49-50 Chevys, I like the 51-52 Chevys I really like the red wheels with the wide whites. I could not help but notice that you modified your hood into a one piece. I was just curious, did you weld the inside hood half lips together & then fill the center of the hood? Or drill and bolt the inside hood half lips & then fill the center of the hood? bolted and filled...I want to find a new hood to work on and weld it up right... my car has quite a bit of new metal and some filler in it...the front and back hoods have filler which scares me because they take quite a bit of opening and shutting and risk cracking...
