Technical 52 f1 cowl vent gasket

    my question is does the cowl vent gasket get trimmed at the underside corners where it bunches up?

    Probably, assuming it’s a repo gasket. Just not quite the right size is typical. I would trim it.

  3. 100_7439.JPG I had to trim mine and glue it down so it wouldn't move around and leak. I razor bladed it, glued the ends and bottom..couldn't close the vent before the fix...worked great after. Good ole Taiwan "close is good enough" stuff...

    Best as I can remember the screen is attached with screws . Remove the screws separate the pieces install the gasket between the screen and vent with the screws

    Why not order one that fits correctly from Steele Rubber?
