Rumor has it this one will be coming up soon in a Sotheby's auction with a reserve of a million billion dollars, but I could probably knock out the guard with my ninja skills and sneak it out the back door if you need it.
I don't know about 52 but in 56 the Customline had the horn ring. The cheaper model Mainline used the plain ****on. FWIW the 56 Mainline and Customline wheels are different and the centers don't interchange.
THAT's the ONE! a good mate NEEDS one on his AUSSIE Customline.....can find plenty WITH the Horn Ring....not so many with JUST the ****on. A cheaper version???? MANY Aussie models only had BASE-MODEL US stuff, so it wouldn't surprise me!!! Anyone got one???
How does it come off? I didn't try real hard, but I couldn't get this one to come off. On my '53 I just had to push in and turn, but no luck (unless I just wasn't trying hard enough). The picture is of my '52 parts car.
push in and turn ccw or acw? Mainline Utes didnt have the rings. Ive got a couple of 55-59 ****ons if interested.
I've got a couple of 52/53 horn with the ring if you want. I dont think i never seen one here in Oz with just a ****on. My 52 has the one with the ring.
If you want it, I'll try to get this one off today. It's on my parts car and I'm not going to use it. It'll probably need to be rechromed though, it doesn't look like it'll clean up.
