Hey fellas, I just got word of a 52 victoria for sale here locally in Az. My brother's friend knows the guy selling it so I'm hoping to look at it really soon. I really dont have room for another project, but for a vicky, I'll get a storage spot for it. No motor or trans, but I have a spare 272 and 3 speed O/D that I could possibly put in it. Just wanted to let you know that I may be needing even more help with that one. I'm really really excited about it and hope I can get it. This one might have the 302 swap. I'll have to make that decision later though. Wish me luck!!!! Rocky
A '52 had a whole different front frame from a '54, a Y-block in a '52 is a bear of a job, there is an archive here from a old car mag posted. The 302 swap is much easier if you use a Fox body oil pan it straddles the '52 crossmember like it was made for it.
Not gonna have to worry about learning new things for a 52 anymore. Definitely false information given. When I got there, I noticed it wasn't even a victoria. Asked the guy if he had a ***le and he told me they didn't ***le cars back then. Red flag number two. As I got to looking at it, there was rust everywhere and holes throughout the floor. The car was actually a 53 mainline. No sweat off my back though.
so, if they didnt ***le them back then, what was that piece of paper i got with mine that had the owners name and address on it, and why did i have to spend a couple hundred bucks to have it changed to my name and address. i think ive been ripped off.
