are those 50 pontiac tail lights? I've always liked those and I have a 52 I'd like to put those on as well and I was wondering on placement of them. Does it have Pontiac sheet metal back there or is it custom? Great JOB!

  3. The taillights are Pontiac. They are actual pontiac quarters grafted into the chevy ones. There is also a hoop welded to the back of the housing to give the frenched look.

Super! I can't wait to see it trimmed out! Will you be using the stock grille?
BTW, what's in the "go" department?

  13. It's got an early 283 in it for go. I an going to use the stock grill with 11 teeth and 51 signal housings. I'm super stoked on the way it came out.

How did you de arch the springs? Ive noticed the "posies" have one eye flipped and the one that goes to the shackle stays the same, how did you get around that?

  17. Springs are made of spring steel that has a special temper to it. There are tempering shops that can heat the springs to the correct temper take the arch slightly out of them an then re temper them. With the arch out is is lower but still has spring in it. Add a lowering block and your set. Call around tooling placed they know where the temper shops are and ask to have your stock springs de- arced.

Not cool man... you can't stop by the shop and check it out and not post pictures. You obviously had your iPhone, so there is no excuse! haha

Looking great man, can't wait to see more pics!

  21. Well I know zero about the rest of the car or what it looked like when you got it but from that pc unless your '66 was a show stopper someone's ass probably still hurts over the deal.

    Very nice lines.

  22. The car was still covered in compound inside the shop so the pictures look like it went throughout the mud. Here is one of the skirts.

About the trade this car was rough when I got it and has had tons and tons of hours to get it what it is.

That is absolutely flawless metal work! (Nice photos, too.)
Would you mind posting a pic of the back-side of the skirt?
