I've got a '53 Bel Air 2 door post. My dad and I are building this car...and we're going back and forth about the interior. He wants bucket seats, and I prefer the bench. The problem is the back seat. Is there a lot newer car with seats that fit the Bel Air as far as size?

I'm sure there are but I can't condone that. Well that and I don't know what would fit.

The 1999 Buick Riviera, 1997 Cadillac Seville has a "52 width and would fit just fine, thinking about putting those in my '54, but you'll have to run the rear side panels completely down the side and make a newer style armrest because the original armest will interfere with both pieces going in.

The back seat portion of those cars does give more comfort since the seat tilts more that the factory bench seats. Make sure you get the package tray cover too, because they are contoured to the rear seats and can be easily modified to fit the Bel Air rear window.

The Riviera's bottom bench seat is even made like the '54s bench seat.

'92 Cad Sedan DeVille seats fit in there well. Bottom cushion will need a support.

I know it's been a while, but do you have any pictures of theses seats in a 53 or 54?
