I had a magazine photshoot today with the '53. Think it turned out pretty well. I chose the place, dig the red bricks and old windows. The photographer pro liked it too, though we moved the car several times for different pics.

Thanks for the comments! There's some more photos in my profile. The mag is the biggest one in Finland, called V8-Magazine. Will scan pages here when published.

Car was built @ Bellos Rods n Customs down south in Chula Vista, CA.
Car is actually a '50 with a 54 front grille fitted, cars obviously chopped but is also channelled with a new floor. everything was done at the shop. suspension, body work paint, interior, etc....

Awesome skirts. Are you able to remove them when you get a flat?

Wow,Those skirts and that tail light treatment is just perfect on Old Golds ride. Been pondering a chopped rolling 54 shell here locally. Just got to figure out to fund it.

Subscribed,Keep the the pic's a coming. Lots of really nice cars in this thread. Lots of really good inspiration in this thread.

54 Not mine but a good freind of mine. He built this car when he was 17. That was 30 years ago. Still looks as good as the day he finished it.

question for all you guys with lowered 53-54s. How bad is your turning radius? I lowered mine 3" in front with jamco springs and shocks. I am worried I will mess up the new white walls when I turn. Do you just deal with it? or is there away to correct for this?

Do they hit when you turn? The Blue 54 in the above post dont hit with 5.60's. But he lifts the car to drive it. Its juiced on all 4 corners.

I'm been using Jamco 3" springs & Buffalo's dropped spindles setup for 7-8 years and recently had problems with the replacement (larger shank) brake hoses being loosened by the steering parts contacting the hose shank in a short drive.
The shop welded stops to reduce the turning radius, and clear the hoses.
So do check the turning radius and the hose ends. Dyno Dave
