If anyone can tell me how far from the rear of the frame is the center line for the axle that would be great. I have a bare frame with no rear so its next to impossible for me to find out right now. Installing a Gambino notch on it so i need to know this first. Thanks guys.

    115" wheel base

take your center line of your front axle (spindle when wheels are straight)..back to the rear axle at 115" that is a stock measurement.

measuring off the rear of the frame can or will give you fits, and probably not be the same side for side...and who knows whats been done or have had happen to the rear of that frame..

Measure wheel base, you cant go wrong..
as for the C notch..wait until you have the front end done up right, than go from there..
thats how i would do it, save you fits later..JMO

It will make a difference if you are getting rid of the torque tube. The spring perches for the closed driveline allow the assembly to pivot where an open rear is centered on the bolt through the leaf spring and clamped by the U bolts. It could make a difference with the location of the notch in the frame.

True..the offset on the stock rear is like 3/4"..
you will need that offset when you put the new axle in too..or it will not center the wheel in the well

one of the reasons for measuring the true WB..of 115"
