Thinking about a grill for my shoebox ford and swaying toward 53 or 54 ford grilles. I need some pics of this install since i'm not finding much info on it. I have a 54 grille comming from ebay, cheap, since i'm building a budget car i can't pay for 54 pontiac grilles and other favorites that jack the price. Need pics please...anyone?
oh ya i'll say it looks great. Thanks so much for the pic. I got the grille in driver condition or 61 blu collar dollars. i'm excited. Thanks again. I realy like the way the center bar mimics the upper moulings. Perfect
I know this is an old thread, anyone else done this? what all is involved? my brother in law's shoebox got backed into, and he's needing a new grille. really like how this looks.
I gave up on it. All i could find is junk. Even on ePAY. I went with a old cal chrome and stock ends and meteor upper grille shell. Had to modify the ends to fit the grille thou and need to be plated. The 54 looks great thou and not that common.
I may get flamed for saying this but I LOVE the single-bar spinner original grilles in the 49-50 fords but not so much the original 51 grilles. If my coupe was a 51, I'd have to slip a 49-50 grille in it. Your aftermarket grille is an improvement over a factory 51 grille IMHO.
Rocky, I totally agree, Is it 51 Fraud? that has the beautiful 51 Victoria with a 50 front end, absolute perfection in my eyes.
I agree with rocky. I Love the 49 front more than than the 50 or 51.Its the turn signals. I like em at the end of the bar. But brother in law wants to go custom, he's new to all of this so I'm trying to steer him the right direction. His car is a good start, it needs saving though.
