53-56 ford F-350 question

has anyone converted a 1953 to 56 dual wheel F-350 front brakes from 6 lug drum to 73 and up 8 lug disk brakes ? looking to build another tow truck and wondered if the brakes could be updated or would it be easier to put the cab on a late model dual wheel chassis
