Ok, Going to mock up the 8cm flathead in my Model A in a couple weeks and need to get the water pumps and rubber biscuits from speedway. Problem, they are out of the pumps. Anyone know where to get the 53 pumps that work for 32-48 engine mounting other than speedway?

I know a guy that has a set of new speedway pumps. He wants his money back. I cqan get them and bring them to you when we make the trade. He says he has 160.00 with shipping. The are for 49-53

Are they the ones that are designed to mount to a 32-48 style? I'm puting the engine in an A frame.

Just looked it up in Speedway and I don't think they are what you need. They are for car not truck.

You want 49-53 pick-up truck pumps. Try Joblot in NY. I've never had poor service from them. www.joblotauto.com

I'm a flathead newbie, so I'm not sure what I need? The truck pumps are what are used to mount a 53 engine to a model A?

Also, what size belt do I want to run? Looks like the pumps come in 3/8 1/2 and 5/8 belt sizes.

You'll need the '49-'53 truck waterpumps with the 5/8" width belt. You might have to trim the front pulley off the crank pulley if the block is too far forward on the mounts.Hope this helps out.Waterpumps are carried by NAPA and have a "lifetime"warranty;price is not bad either.
