Thinking about running some 53 Cadillac hubcaps on my 47 mercury, but I’m not sure About how those hubcaps will fit on a ford rim, or will they? Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
If they're 15" wheels, check the backside of the cap, if it looks like the pic I've attached, you'll need to modify them.
53 cad caps come in two mounting styles, the one pictured above mounts like a baby moon onto clips in center. The other style mounts to the outer wheel diameter, some weld trim rings to the center mount type caps to catch the outer wheel diameter.
You have to tack weld a 15 in beauty ring to the rolled inner edge after you cut and remove all the original mounting.
