Technical 53 Chevy 210 reverse light delete

Hey everyone, I have a 53 210 with standard 53 lights. My car didn't come with reverse light option. I haven't physically checked to see but wanted to see if anyone has put tail lenses in the reverse spot to have double tail lights. I have googled around everywhere but haven't seen it done. The lenses may not even work for all I know. Haven't made it out to see if they are interchangeable. If so, does anyone have any photos of it?? Thanks.

 

I’ve seen it on a few 53’s and 54’s looks like they would be pretty easy. I’ve done it to a 62 Chevy II.

 

the red and backup reproduction lenses are identical, so I imagine it should work
