    You can do much better for the money with a bit of patience. I spent a lot of my life buying rusty cars and jacking around with fixing rust. My 51 was more dollars, but almost rust free. it is an absolute pleasure to work on compared to my past escapades. Best money I have ever spent on an old car. I went south and west looking. Found it right here on the cl***ifieds.

    Nobody in this life time is going to pay 6K for that 53 Chevy four door rust bucket. Keep looking theres way better projects out there.

    The car wouldn't scare me away if the price was right. If you had posted this and said you can buy it for $2000 and drive it home and you were looking for something to learn metalwork and bodywork on, I'd say go for it. But 6K is way too much.
