Hey guys, I have a 53 chevy truck with the original frame. I am getting rid of the rear shackle cab mounts. Has anyone made their own rear mounts for this truck and if so, could I get some dimensions or ideas?

    Thanks.

Just look up the center cab brackets ( by the front of the door opening) for a 1948 Ford F1. They may work out for you.

  3. I used 2x4" rectangle tubing angle cut on the bottom. Measure out from the frame to where your cab mount will end and use that measurement for the length of the part you make. If you haven't boxed and added k-members to make your frame stiffer, re-think this. The original mounts were designed that way because of frame flex and rough roads. A stock frame might not be the best use of this. :)
