Any one know if there are any late model cars that have leaf springs that will fit a 53 customline 2 door sedan? I have one that is saging pretty bad. Thanks for any info!
I doubt any late model cars will have a spring that will fit, I would contact a local spring shop to see if you can have them re-arched.
I got 'em for my '56 @ Whitney as well, I didn't check availability for other years. USA made, good quality, reasonably priced and if you catch 'em at the right time they offer free shipping.
I remember the original post about J.C. Whitney someone said they called and was told they did not have a listing, posting the part number would be a big help if that comes up.They probably have some counter people like our local box stores.
that was me jeff, their online catalog is lacking and their phone in people are even worse. but i did finally come up with the part # online
There is a place in Kansas that sells the same spring as Whitney - basically at the same price, although the price is lower, with the addition of shipping it came out to the same. The manufacturer is John R Spring, the distributor is General Spring (ask for Joe or Jim) Mention that John R Spring told you to call them, and you get the price. 913-829-0619. Check locally first, you may get a better price.
