I'm looking for carpet for my 53 Ford Ranchwagon. I've searched the web but can find no one who does the molded carpet for a 53 wagon. Other years, yeah. Anyone have a supplier?

  2. Most 'less popular' 50s cars don't have molded carpet available unfortunately. That leaves you two choices; bite the bullet and use the sewn set, or buy bulk carpet and glue it in. I hate glued-in carpet....

    The original carpet was sewn...

  3. Wouldnt molded carpet fight you anyway Chuck? Thats a worked-over trans hump isnt it? I think I'd look at altering a sewn set. Maybe do the install in 3 pieces. Drivers/pass. and a larger trimmed center?

Chaz,I couldn't find anyone offering molded carpet for the 52-54 Ranch Wagon, and believe me I searched.

Remember the Ranch Wagons originally had rubber floor mat.

I ended up with cut and sew. HRP

  5. Ranch Wagon was the body type (2dr wagon), not the trim level. The Mainlines came with rubber mats, you could get carpet in the Customlines.

Steve,My Customline came with factory rubber floor mats. HRP

  7. It depended on which interior trim package was selected; vinyl seats got rubber mats, if you stepped up to the Deluxe cloth seats (extra cost), you got carpet. The cloth seats were pretty rare, most Ranch Wagons came though as utilitarian...

Even the factory carpet was cut and sewn.

One of those top upholstery shops can just do it by heat and steam, look into it cause with all that you guy's have done on that Wagon it should not be a problem! ;)
