Was looking to install a 53 Ford steering box in my 39, the problem is that the neutral position of the pitman arm is facing is way off where it needs to be. Now before I tear it apart and attempt to reclock it (or screw it up) I was wondering if it is even possible? Can they be reclocked to a different neutral position?

I'm sorry, yes a '53 ford pickup steering box. I currently am building a chopped and dropped '39 ford truck and am experiencing clearance issues with the steering box. Was hoping you would tell pull it apart its no problem at all to reclock them.

    Thanks,

Use a F-1 box ,they have full circular splines . Just cut out the double ones and arm can be clocked in any spot then.48-52 box.
