I love the 53 mercury dash and I would love to have one in my 54 customline. I think I saw someone here with it in their car, but I might be mistaken. Do you guys think it would fit in my car? Its basically the same right? Also, does anyone have or know where to get one? Just another thing I want to change on my build. Another thing I would like to get are the 3 pieces of trim that go on the back panel of the mercury. Anyone know where I can get those? Do they sell those as aftermarket pieces? As always, the help is appreciated.

Now if you lived in Canada, you would know that they fit, cuz the 53 Meteor (Canadian Ford) used the Merc dash from the factory. ;)

Rocky , you can always make one fit with some work . Those kind of mods are done all the time even when they don't fit . I do think they are bigger but may be wrong .
Try the main board for one there .
Good luck and let us all know how that turns out !

F DVAP. They wanted to charge my brother 100 bucks for shock mounts. He called the guy at dvap 2 days before and they told him 70.... I will NEVER do business with that company. Sorry, rant over. Thanks jeff for the heads up. I'll call J&W tomorrow.

I think that the "three bars" that you mentioned on the Merc side panels are the same as a Meteor. Same goes for the dash.

The picture is of a 54 Meteor (on its roof). Are the bars in the front of the rear wheel openings what you are looking for?

Gregk, those are the ones, but except for the big piece on the bottom. I dont like that. I just want the 3 spears.

The third spear is part of the larger chrome piece. There is only two spears.

Then I guess I'd have to get 3 sets of them. That way I can get 6 spears and have those big pieces as extras.

Sweeet! What a cool custom touch. Now, since I have never removed any of the Ford trim, if you were to remove the stock trim piece is is just flat underneath or would you have to fill something in? I have seen them scooped and it looks pretty neato. I'm going to have to photoshop these on the "cleaned up" version of my ride.

Skoh, to be honest, Im not really sure. I was just gonna "make" it work. LOL Somehow. Thanks Echo! I'm gonna get some! Also looking at a 54 merc dash now. They are more slick and less cluttered looking.
