I bought this ol girl off of a guy in Missouri, It needs a bunch of work but I felt it's well worth it to bring it back to life as a period correct g***er (drag car)
Well, it's not from the 60's... actually shot just a couple years ago at B-I-R... but here ya go: Those early Stude coupes are cool no matter how you build 'em.
Terr I dont know if ya know thas my old girl and I raced the **** out of it in the mid 80,s built it and had a blast all over the country, and these young guys are have just as much fun with it cool to see!
Here's one that was sent to me, it was out of the Aurora IL area, the track where this was taken was at Oswego IL
Here is my Dad's recreation of his '53 Studebaker G***er that he raced back in the mid-60's. It's has a 259 cubic inch Studebaker with a T-10 4-speed...we just got it finished in time for the Meltdown Drags @ Byron Dragway. We've had a lot of fun building/racing the "South Bend ROAD OILER"
Not a Studebaker g***er, but this when we started racing back in the mid '80's, the best times and memories I can remember... that thing you Do!
I have no real info on where or when, but this one kicks *** with the tilt front end and injected early hemi.
AWESOME! I was wondering if you were on here. I am the guy in Missouri you bought it from. I hope you do a build thread on it here so I can keep tabs on it. I am really excited it found such a good home....can't wait to see it back on the track again.
