54 bel air on a 90's b-body frame?

    has anyone attempted this? they seem to be similarly sized and parts are easier to find for the newer frame.

    The general consensus around here usually seems to be 'more trouble than it's worth'. Especially, when the car's a 49-54 Chevy and you can buy the motor mounts and stuff to swap out the open driveline in it over the counter. I know it handily solves some problems, but, man, it opens a whole other can of worms at the same time, especially if you're gonna try to sell the thing someday or even get it inspected/titled. If you haven't already been there, check out http://www.50chevy.com, they're a great site as well, and completely dedicated to cars of that type...

    check hot rod back issues, bout a year ago there was a rat rod article with a 55 on a cop car frame. its just a bit wide for a 49-54. you'd have to run fwd wheels that wouldn't look "right" imho

    might look into a g body ....might fit a little better......might also look into possibly using the floor as well from the g body ....brandon
