Well my first long intro went away when I hit "submit new thread" and apparently was no longer logged in. So this one will be brief. Ol' Brad54 has been tellin me about this board for a while and though I've been lurking for about a year I figured it's time I join up. Most of my 54 Roadmasters are stock and original but I'm saving one to build, dress up the nailhead with some chrome, paint some ghost flames coming outa the portholes and play catch me if you can with. So hopefully that will qualify me for this here jalopy forum. I,m from Watkinsville Georgia and my first hot roddin days were spent there hangin around the County Camp (as in prison camp). There was this black guy that was in for like 20 years that was one helluva mechanic. He kept the sheriffs cars runnin to catch anything and was allowed to work on other folks cars at night. I had just turned 16 and was lucky enough to get him to build a 327 for my 57 Chevy, plus convert the auto ****** to a 4 speed and help me install a 411 posi. I was actually able to take him for a ride down Hwy 15 when it was finished. My how times have changed. Then came the 67 Chevelle. Then the Marine's. The first cars after getting home from the Nam was a 54 Buick Special. After sewing my wild oats all over NE Georgia in it I met the seetest gal I ever knew, got married and had to sell the Buick to buy us a washing machine. 22 years later I bought my Buick back, then another, and another, then a couple more. So that's what this ol Georgia boy is all about. Hope I qualify for your hot rod jalopy forum. Hey Brad,Jordan will be at the swap meet Satday, but I got some serious wrenchin to do. Hope it don't rain.
Welcome! Thank you for your welcome! Good to hear from another buick lover from Georgia. Hopefully I will see your buick sometime soon. Take care.
Welcome to the HAMB from Oklahoma! That's quite an impressive sounding collection of Buicks that you have. Looking forward to seeing some pics one of these days. CH
Look no further... They're all stock and original except the three tone in the middle. That's Irene. She's gonna get a built nailhead, cobalt blue bottom, pearl white top and ghost flames comin outa the portholes one a these days
Someone said one time that if better cars are built Buick will build them, welcome to the HAMB, BIG D
WOW!!! They look gorgeous all lined up like that in front of the water and trees. That's a great pic! Thanks for posting it. CH
Howdy and welcome. Nice collection you got there. I've always liked the 49-53 Buicks. P***ed up an offer to trade my 59 for a 53 hardtop once. It was a sweet ride.
