Hi All, Moon from the UK, this is my 54 capri, too many Ideas in my head for one car I think and I change my mind one day to the next as to what I want but hopefully on the right track now and that there H.A.M.B. friendly, was a hardtop now this............... a while ago
WTF? I don't believe I'd do any more work until I settled on a firm build plan and then stick with it.
It must be hard to sleep at night with all "that" going on in your head................................................................
Nice to see someone with the guts to cut the shit out of a car and make a radical custom. Hope you follow through and finish it. So many of them get 3/4 done and end up scrapped. Good luck and keep the pictures coming.
Thank you all for the encouraging comments and likes, means a great deal!!!, this is one I will finish and I fully intend for it to be on the road this summer although as an evolving primer project, main decision I have is weather to go asymmetric on the styling front/rear as it something I have always wanted to do and its only metal.............................
Another wow. I can see your vision already. Should be a stunner when done. Not too many fresh customs out there pushing the boundaries like that!
After resting just the roof on and lots of measuring I decided to get myself a doner car and attempt! to use all of its hydraulics, workings and the screen surround, it may need to be a shorter in length but otherwise should be ok, IF it works out I,ll be able to have a fold away top and a removable hardtop, did I mention that this all Quentins fault?
Very gutsy ! The fact that you're doing this in England makes it moreso ! Not too many '54 Lincoln's left here in the U.S. Finding a donor car in the U.K. ? I hope they have some good "Pick-a-Part" Salvage Yards there, Moon. Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net
Not a custom guy in the least... but damn you might have changed that.... Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Roughed out the hood scoop shape which helps to dehump it and started on the dash and scuttle............................... http://imagehosting.rodsnsods.co.uk/8345ad50cc03cba8.jpg http://imagehosting.rodsnsods.co.uk/8345ad50cbd26a31.jpg
