I like it. It's nice to see a totally different engine in a Chevy. Who made the headers?

Hell yeah man I love it. Was thinking on doing a 383 in my 55 that I have access to but then I have the 472 Caddy too. Decisions, decisions. What motor and front end??

I think it's great! The fenderwell headers are awesome (how long are they?) but the camber needs some attention.

Please tell us some more about it...

Yes it does ...he thinks it sits to low in the front, I think it sits perfect. he had a friend of his that weighs 450 lbs stand on the front end it came down maybe an inch. it'll be at the Rust Revival next year.....And if all goes right it'll be at the hunnert this year.

Just my ignorant opinion, but I'd put 1"1/2 blocks between the front axle and the U-bolts. I'd also move the rear axle fwd about 2 inches.

It reminds me of a car you might have seen in any high school parking lot in the early 60's...It's *****'n

Maybe radius the rear fenders with some big meats.

Bout the BEST use of a '54 chevy yet!!

  16. Looks cool... but ya gotta fix that camber problem!

Did you put something other than Chevy spindles on that axle?

    Sam.

  17. well heres the deal with the camber i did put the 54-53 spindles but the funny thing is the straight axle had smaller king pin holes like say 13/16 and the king pins were 7/8 so a good friend and i machined the holes bigger so now they fit but this is what i have he used a mill and found true center with the 13/16 king pin so i know we were on if i have to ill bend the axle to get it right im not to worried thanks bill

is it possible the spindles are on upside down? Breeder got his mixed up when he put the dropped uprights on his 53. everything fit together, but it had some serious negative camber...flipped em over and it was fine.

that said, wont fixing the camber (however you go about it) raise the front a little?
