hi, i have a 54 chevy 4 doors, and i want to convert to 2 doors and chop top.i need to use coupe doors or i can use the original ones and weld the rear doors?? please some ideas or photos !
Most, not all but most, will agree that if all you do is weld up the back doors and leave the stock 4-door front doors as is, they will look wrong because they are too short. Finding 2-door doors would probably be the easiest from an amount of work point of view. Lengthening the 4-door doors would probably be easier from an availability point of view. I mean if you find a 2-door with good doors on it as a donor car, it will probably be in good enough condition to use the whole car as the starting point of your project instead of continuing on with the 4-door car.
