Got a smokin' deal on 6 - 8.25"X20" tires, tubes & flaps from my buddy that owns a tire shop ....so ....we spent the week prepping & painting the rims for the '54 COE. We picked out the best 6 rims, lock rings & outer rims from a stack of 10. Will be interesting to watch the tire guy install the rubber & put them back together. Can't wait to get a nice set of tires on the 54....
WOW!, Looks great MT. I like the extra accent, of the red lock rings. Any pictures after installation. Been meaning to ask you, who's the manufacturer of those signal lamps, on your COE.
Hey Spank ! How did those parking light parts work out ? The ones you sent in trade were nice. Also.... Did you get that truck semiphore installed ? Will post pictures of tires installed when I get some time. The lamps are "Guide" "Direct Signal" .
Parking light bezels worked out great. Would you believe, I need one little small screw for one bezel. Dropped one in the gr***, & can't find a match for them anywhere. That's a great looking semaphore, you sent me. Sent a photo of it to my COE's previous owner, out in Washington State, & he said that was the exact type, that was on it. I figured it was, 'cause it's like the one pictured in my GMC Accessory Catalog. I'm trying to find a original mounting bracket, but may wind up fabricating a duplicate. How'd you guys get those wheels back together, without scratching that pretty paint job, on those wheels. I found some Dayton Wheel Adapters, for my GMC COE, have you ever seen any. I've got them painted red, & installed on the truck with 10.00-20 rubber all around.
