when I was growing up, I remember this one body shop has I think its an old 30's dodge? about 50 feet in the air on top of a pole. I used to think about how cool it would be to take it down and fix it up. yeah everyone was ok in that accident. He had a blowout and smacked into the center divider, and couldnt get over to the shoulder. He had his emergency flashers and they were waiting for a tow truck outside away from the car, but I cant remeber if the dually driver was drunk, but either way he completely smashed that chevy. I cant imagine how hard that would **** to watch you car get obliterated.
Over in Daytona there is a Model A on a Pole about 30 Ft. high used as a sign. I saw it a few months back when I went there to pick up an engine.
As a proud owner of several Chevys and more than a few Fords, this brings a whole new meaning to the term for Chevys -- "****boxes".
My Dad had a cousin who had a 56 Ford customline 2door wih a hot 312 Y-block in it. He wrapped it around a tree one night and was killed. My Dad tried to buy the 312 out of it(he had helped build the car), but his uncle said no. He said he didn't want anyone else killed by it. He buried it out in the pasture on his farm a couple days later.
It would work fine, it was probably buried in sandy soil that perks well, all you really need is a void or hollow area for the solids, and the liquids would just run out through any openings in the car and leach into the sandy soil.
