54 chevy steering column with Mustang II

I agree. Without debate, discussion or challenge we would never reach the levels of design and craftsmanship that we aspire to. The old saying that "two heads are better than one" definitely applies here my friends.

For the firewall mount i used a piece of 2" DOM with a .125 wall about 11" long. The factory steering column will slide into it perfectly under the dash. Then i found a bearing ( rbcbearings.com nice 201011) that has an od of 1 3/4" and an id of 3/4"... I took a pic on phone but its not letting me attach it.
