Well the Jesse James phenomenon hasn't ruined all the deals on 54 Chevys. I picked this thing up on my way home from school the other day. Besides the fact that it has been sitting outside in bare metal for the past six months and I had the shovel about six inches of mud out the the entire floor board because the windows were left down, it is super solid. The best part is that is has a good running 250 straight six and turbo 350 from a 78 Nova and I only payed $400 bux for it with a good title. If anyone has any good pics of them I would like the see them for ideas.
Sorry gotta quote the Rev here "bitch wheres my $400..I want my $400 and I want it NOW!!...) Killer buy, umm wanna sell me your steering box? There are a lot of cool things you could do with that baby!
you got that car for $400? man, that's a hella good deal. good luck with your project, '54s are the shiznit.
Oh man, great patina Seriously, that car looks fantastic for that kind of money. Just the doors would be worth that much here in Michigan. That car looks very complete. Just goes to show there are still very good deals to be had out there.
Man,,,AWESOME score!! These cars have been over looked for so many years its nice to finally see kats jump on them....Personally, I feel Jesse James opened alot of peoples eyes to how badass those cars could be! Hate'em but you are all building the same shit! Dirty
What DropLord49 needs to do is give me that car as payment for having stored a car in my shop continuously for like 3 years, all the work I did on his Dodge, just general support during all these years of having the sickness. I think $400.00 bucks is a bargain. HaHa
Dirty Rat I totally agree, besides the 49-52 chevies that I love so much, I think the 54 chevy is one of the best looking cars Chevy ever made. I have wanted one ever since I saw Mike Ness's in a Social Distortion video when I was in High School when it was still white. Oh that reminds me, does anyone have any pictures of his car when it was white?
here is the back end, I don't have the tail lights or the bezels, I was wondering if you can french stock bezels cause someone told me that they were pot metal?
and last the shot of the floor after an hour of SHOVELING mud and trash out of it, I was really suprised to actually see how solid it still is.

[/ QUOTE ] Thats some funny shit,,outside of seeing pics of them in the lil books,,,thats what first opened my eyes to them was Ness's (another one people seem to hate on)and the direction he was going with it,,It made me take a deeper look into them...eventually i would like to get another one but there are just to many around me now and i feel they are starting to be 'cookie cutters'...but thats just me. Did you get your'Rockstar W/Torque Wrenches' sticker yet? Anyhow, killer ride and hope you do something with it! Dirty
Nice scoop!......can't believe you got all that for only $400.00..........Hey Tim.....nice photo chop on the 54's lid....congrat's!
I am runnin a 250 in a 55 Pontiac Starchief. I had a bunch of pix of Ness' car when it was in primer and unchopped, circa 1996 at the Hootenanny. I will try and dig em up. I remember it sat on the ground, no grille, unchopped with leopard print door panels and deck lid with black tuck and roll. He took the grille off and used it on the 55 Poncho he had years back. Again, let me look, it has been a while.
Is your Poncho the pinkish-red and black one at the Roundup? If so that thing is badass. If you can find does pictures of Ness's ride that would be killer.Thanx
[ QUOTE ] anyone have anymore pics of this 54 at Viva this year [/ QUOTE ] Same car, slightly different angle, at Billetproof last year...
SOrry man, I looked but cannot find the pix. The only pix I can find are the ones of Ness' old 55 Pontiac. SOrry. I got a photographic memory so you can ask me anything about the car before it was cut up.....
